Can PD class bring a change in the personality

Like other working days I got up at 6 and started my day with yoga and tit bits for my little doll. While I was doing all this I had a continuous thought running and disturbing me and rather challenging i.e. am I making a difference into the life of my students? Are my activities ,interactions and discussions actually adding something to their personality? To be frank are Personality Development classes worth attending because it’s the class never got importance.

I reached the university, took my session and read few chapters of a book as my routine. When I was going for the second class, a boy – Deepak an M.B.A student came and said , mam thanks a lot. I was amazed and asked what for? He said mam, yesterday I applied whatever you guided us in the class yesterday. Mam, You said we have to be assertive and we should try to change negative thoughts into positive and our life will become better. Deepak ‘s wordings “ I was upset because I made a group assignment and didin’t get even printing help from my group mates. I was having negative feelings and feelings of frustration for my friends but after listening to you. I sent a message to three of them. The message was “ Thanks! For your (group mates) kind support and with your help our group assignment has come out very well.” In the evening three of them came to my room after realising their mistake and felt sorry and promised for a team work from next time. MAM, I turned lose/lose situation into win/win situation. I learnt to be happy without hurting anyone. I also learnt we should try to change ourselves rather than changing them.

Today, once again Im contented with my work that at least I’m making a difference into the life of someone and I’m making somebody’s life better and happier.

Sometimes a small admiration is worth any expensive gift.
